JP Mc Menamin was born in Co Tyrone.
He left school at 14 - and still feels he was there too long!

Here are some facts that you may not know about JP:

• He is the uncle of actor Ciaran Mc Menamin
• He is a keen guitar player and was once lead guitarist in the Jordanaires (not 'the Jordanaires')
• His books have travelled as far as Australia
• He has featured on the front page of both the Sunday World and Daily Mirror newspapers in the past
• Although being the resident poet of the Gerry Anderson show, the two men have never actually met!
